University of Tasmania Research

Research Participants Needed!

Researchers at The University of Tasmania are currently looking for people who experience symptoms of endometriosis and are over the age of 18 to participate in their study investigating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness interventions for Endometriosis.

CBT is a psychological therapy that focuses on the interaction between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Researchers at the University of Tasmania are conducting a pilot study investigating the effectiveness of CBT and mindfulness for managing the distress and pain associated with endometriosis.

We would like to invite you to take part in our 8-session CBT and Mindfulness group program for women who experience symptoms of endometriosis. There is no cost to attend the program. If you live outside of Hobart, you can complete the program through a self-instruction mode where treatment materials are provided on-line or via postal service.

If you would like to know more about the treatment or be involved:

Please contact:

Dr Leesa Van Niekerk on (03) 6226 6645 or leesa.vanniekerk@utas.edu.au

and she will happily answer any questions that you may have.
